Iberian Association of the Ribera del Duero town councils - AIMRD

The Iberian Association of Townships on the Douro is a cross border association created in 1994, fruit of labour focused on the River Douro between close neighbours Spain and Portugal.

The noble aim of this association is to become the driving force behind sustainable and integrated development of the River Douro.

Through dialogue and by taking necessary measures we hope to reap the benefits of a project which crosses borders and whose cornerstone is a commitment to a healthier and more prosperous future for a river that brings the two countries together.

Since May 30th 2007 Valladolid occupies the Vice-presidency of th AIMRD.
